As good as this system is, it’s going to depend on you to implement it properly.  This device is NOT A KEY CHAIN.  It does not go in your tank bag or panniers.  Don’t stick it in a saddlebag and expect it to be found in an emergency.  The device must be located on your person.  It must be plainly visible to the responder who will be treating you in the event of an emergency.  Zipper pulls on your riding jacket and riding pants is the best place to affix the device.  This is how it was designed.  Not only will it be easily seen, but, during a secondary survey you can rest assured the device will be found.

These tags are a great idea for any activity and anyone. Kids on a mountain bike, a loved one, kayakers, etc. We use them because they just make sense.
